The year two thousand, twenty-five sucked. The return of Trump to the white house has been worse than I expected, and I expected it to be really bad.

But 2026 looked at all that and said "hold my beer".

The short start so far to 2026 has been absolutely fucking insane.

I woke up on the morning of January 3 to the US military doing a decapitation of Venezuela, an in/out captured of their dictator Nicolas Maduro.

Then there was the fucking insane shooting of Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis, that is leading to some of the most egregious gaslighting that we have ever seen (and I did watch the movie where the phrase comes from).

And then there's the sabre rattling over us invading Greenland, essentially attacking a fellow NATO nation (Denmark) and that will trigger an Article 5 event. Whooda thunk it even in the wildest of fever dreams?

Yet the likelihood is better than even odds.

Then, there's the unrest in Iran, where the population is finally getting fed up with their bronze age goat-fucking religious leaders.

That civil unrest began in earnest around December 28, 2025, with protesters taking to the streets in protest. Turns out that ultraconservative religious factions are not good at running modern societies, and when the economy turns completely to shit, people get angry. And Iran does have about 56M people.

Anyhow, when the protests became more vigorous, there were some rumors that the IRG would be called in to quell the protests.

All bog-standard shit. But then Trump opened his mouth turd-hole and said something curious. He threatened to strike Iran if they started military action against the protesters, the US would take action, and strike in Iran to support the protesters.

Woah, what the fuck was that. He is all angsty to shoot our protesters in the legs whenever they take to the streets, but here he's supporting the Iranian populace?

Mr. Trump has not made a final decision, but the officials said he was seriously considering authorizing a strike in response to the Iranian regime’s efforts to suppress demonstrations set off by widespread economic grievances. The president has been presented with a range of options, including strikes on nonmilitary sites in Tehran, the people said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss confidential conversations.

I just don't know what the fuck to say about that. Then Trump sent this on Saturday, January 10 (yesterday):

“Iran is looking at FREEDOM, perhaps like never before,” Mr. Trump wrote on social media on Saturday. “The USA stands ready to help!!!”

All while he and his chucklefucks are doing everything they can to curtail freedoms that are enshrined in our Constitution.

The article goes on:

Mr. Trump has repeatedly threatened to use lethal force against the Iranian government for its efforts to suppress demonstrations, and on Friday, he said that Iran “is in big trouble.”

“I’ve made the statement very strongly that if they start killing people like they have in the past, we will get involved,” Mr. Trump told reporters on Friday, while meeting with oil executives. “We’ll be hitting them very hard where it hurts. And that doesn’t mean boots on the ground, but it means hitting them very, very hard where it hurts. So we don’t want that to happen.”

All whilst his secret police, ICE, is shooting even people not protesting in the face.

Those Epstein files must really be fucking bad.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke by phone on Saturday morning with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, according to three people with knowledge of the call. The two leaders discussed the protests in Iran, along with the situation in Syria and a peace deal in Gaza, the three people said.

Early on Saturday, Mr. Rubio wrote on a personal social media account that the United States “supports the brave people of Iran.”
