Another epic jam: Rick Wakeman
Yes might have been the least interesting part of Rick Wakeman's career, as heretical is it might seem to type that, it is probably true?
Rick Wakeman, keys player for Yes, also has a metric shit-ton of solo stuff, and collaborations. Seriously, the man gets around, but, this morning, I stumbled across this rendition of Anne Boleyn live, and I just had to share.
The album is “The Six Wives of Henry VIII”, and I had it on a grungy old vinyl copy I picked up at a used record store in the early 1980’s. And I frankly played it until it died. It is that good.
This Youtube video is the man playing it, and his artistry is on full display.
I hope you enjoy this enough to find the whole album wherever you stream.
Update: Sorry for the restricted YT link. Do click on it, as it is totally worth the time to watch!
