Rebirth

More than spackle and a fresh coat of paint, I have moved the Sweatyspice experience to Substack. A huge backlog of posts to get up, but some new ones intertwined with the classics. Hang on!

Early-ish in the pandemic, I was bored, playing a lot of video games, and resurrecting my old gamer tag, “Sweaty Spice”. Back in the day, I was a prolific first person shooter fan, and Quake was my go to.

Quake II online gaming was fresh, fun, and - if you had the right hardware - just an amazing experience. One of the things that ID Software embedded into the online play was the concept of “Clans”. The clan that my friends and I played as was “Crack Whore” (hey, it was the 90’s after all) and we all had buxom skins to be the baddest.

The only thing that stuck from that era was my handle, “Sweaty Spice” the overweight Spice Girl.

Anyhow, over the last few years, this has become my dumping ground, with topical posts, and a LOT on my return to playing guitar.

I will cover a lot of ground here, from my insane neighbors, to gaming (I still have a penchant for the old classics), my journey to regain some of the guitar skills I once had, and whatever the hell else catches my fancy.

Maybe something about my fascination with watching the chaos that is Cryptocurrency and the shit-show that has become.

Oh, yeah, I get sweary at time, so this will likely have some NSFW language. If that offends you, well, you can just move on.

Hope you decide to join the subscribers. Always free. Just ignore that damn pledge button that Substack is pushing everywhere. Fuck that noise.
