Today, I rolled up my sleeves and logged in to do a couple of online multiplayer races.
One of the current series in the 2023 Forza Motorsport is the Formula Mazda races. Spec races, where we all have the same car and the same setup. You can tune (tweak springs, tire pressures, downforce, and alignment) but the raw performance index is identical. Class P 701 rating, and that is an equalizer.
I am still not great, and while I am beginning to work on driving with a manual gearbox, I am still too much of a spazz to do it on an online race. So, I give up 3-5 seconds per lap, all other things identical.
And I am OK with this.
The race below is 10 laps on Maple Valley full circuit, about 19 minutes in total.
Highlights:
The first corner wasn’t a slaughterhouse. That is great.
I didn’t qualify (joined late) so I started at P12.
I got murdered a couple of times, and one of the murderers is a total D-bag.
I raced a clean race, no penalties! YAY!
Hope you enjoy! I sure did…
That was fun to watch; thanks! If that asshole didn't get a penalty, I'd hate to see what it does take to get one.
