Who said banjo wasn't a serious instrument? Not me!

This year, I added a CD to my collection that is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. It was Bela Fleck’s “Rhapsody in Bluegrass”, an obvious wordplay on the title track, “Rhapsody in Blue” by Ira Gershwin, and most recognizable as the theme of the United Airlines ads.

This clip is a montage of Bela playing this in a variety of venues, showcasing his virtuosity as well as his adaptability. Bela is simply amazing, and I encourage you to look into more of his music … after enjoying this recap.
