Music: Damian Salazar - redux

If the title of your music video on YT is "Bohemian Rhapsody" I am gonna click on it. It is a moral failing but I have no regrets.

We’ve covered the street busker Damian Salazar before. He takes his rig with him, sets up and draws a crowd. He brings just enough authenticity to the original tune, but then he overlays that with his fiery and intense interpretation, always making the listener enjoy the journey.

Here, he takes on one of the greatest songs of all time, Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. His playing is fun, open, and over the top, all at the same time.

The ability to just sit and noodle this in public, to play the vocal melody on top of either Freddy’s piano, or Brian’s guitar riffs is almost unparalleled. And to make it look easy? That’s virtuosity.

And Damian shows it in every video he posts.

Now, if you have another 7 minutes, might I interest you in one of the geekiest videos ever. Again, it is Bohemian Rhapsody, but instead played by sequencing the servo motors and other mechanism of 1980’s vintage home computer hardware.
