One benefit to being off Twitter
Every year, the meaning of the holiday is twisted, misinterpreted and misrepresented by some of the worst fucking humans on the planet.
As we once again celebrate Labor Day, the recognition of the labor movement’s achievements are on the mind. All the things we take for granted, 5 day work weeks, 8 hour days, holidays, and workplace safety standards were all hard fought for and won by past organizing.
While it is dispiriting that labor unions have ebbed in influence, what they have done for the American worker is commendable.
Now, as to the benefit of being off Twitter
Every fucking year, “conservative” lawmakers would like clockwork praise the capitalists, the titans of industry, the business leaders for their “job creation”, being tone-deaf to the intent and purpose of the holiday.
They chastise the laborers for not being thankful for the job creators who have taken all the risks to employ them.
What the actual fuck? It is not just one or two, it is a litany of spooge mops, carrying water for industrialist twatwaffles who are so certain of their awesomeness, and generosity that they completely miss the fucking point.
All of this was done historically on Twitter X, which is now owned lock stock and barrel by one of the douchiest titan of industry out there, Elon Musk.
Seriously, fuck that guy.
Fuck all the right wing spooge mops.
Fuck those who mis-interpret the meaning of this important holiday.
I’m smoking some pork spare ribs for dinner.
