In 2011, I had a business trip to England, and because of the timings, I had a weekend to stroll around and see the sights. I took a ton of pictures with my trusty Canon G12 that I took. I won’t mention the cost of my hotel room (a generic Holiday Inn Express that was stoopidly overpriced), or my $30 cab ride that was literally about 6 blocks, nor how much a scone and a pretty bad coffee was for breakfast…
But I probably walked 10 miles each day from Friday through Monday, and I got a ton of pics. These are some of the ones I loved most.
I am not sure how I got this lucky, but I was walking on the Thames, and the cloud cover had some epic texture. I did a little tweaking in Photoshop so this is not really what I saw. But I like the results. (in fact, many of these images have been tweaked up!)
Near Kensington Palace, there is this quaint little park, with a duck pond, and at one end of this pond was this cottage. It really is this idyllic.
This park also had these epic trach receptacles just for dog waste:
That is a pretty awesome invention, and I think we should invade England to obtain this killer technology!
Next, I was off to Royal Albert Hall. Having heard and seen vids from great bands there, I needed to see it in person.
This is the front, and it really is majestic. But I also took a shot off-center and tweaked it up, so I need to share this one too!
In this little strip of land that I took this one, I also captured a monument, this is a multi image HDR processed shot that really is stunning.
It does look this great in person too.
Back to the park, I did some psychedelic fiddling with a waterway scene, I think it came out sort of cool and trippy AF:
Yeah, trippin’ balls man. Good stuff right there.
There was also a killer fountain, so I took multiple exposures and combined them into an HDR image.
I’ll say one thing for the Brits, they do public parks well!
This is the same water way, different view, showing some pilings, and interesting trees and clouds in the background. For some reason, I really liked this one, and I created a border around it. Fun.
I was strolling around, looking for lunch, and this angle of a Church (I think?) caught my eye, so I did a quick snap. I processed it into B&W because it made it look classier
There were a bunch more, but these are my favorites, so I thought I would share them with you. Hope you enjoy them!
Beautiful😀
Love them all- black and white especially! You have a great eye and everything should be tweaked! Very nice!!
