To renew or not?

No, not me, or my pets, but my Trusted Traveler (nee Global Entry) membership

In 2019, I renewed my Global Entry (GE) card. If you travel international with any frequency, the GE program is just amazing. You get to glide through customs on your return, and it is a very frictionless process.

I renewed it just before my birthday in 2019, and I used it just once in early 2020 for an international trip to Europe for a conference.

In fact, that was the LAST time I set foot in an airport, or on an airplane.

And, frankly, I am not sure I will do any traveling in the next 5 years, and certainly not enough to justify the expense and the time to do the interview at SFO (you do have to physically go and be interviewed by a DHS person to renew).

Not a very good return on investment.

I think I will let it expire.
