Music: The Blues Brothers

My introduction to the rich tapestry of the Blues was from my step father, and this movie was a big part of it.

My stepfather introduced me to Chicago blues via the Blues Brothers. And this clip is one of reasons it stuck.

The movie is chocked full of great music, and great artists. This clip starts with John Lee Hooker, and then we get the diner scene with Aretha Franklin.

After the movie was released, in an interview Dan Akroyd was asked how they got all these musicians to play on the film. His response was epic: We just asked them, and they said "yes".

As simple as that!
