Let me provide another scenario - a partner in a law firm (or owner) sees this coming and you have to keep profits up until they buy you out - yes, I’m cynical
I've worked for an attorney for the last 15 years. One of the kindest men you'd ever want to meet. Our firm is limited to property tax appeals only. He doesn't want to do anything more than tax appeals. I like that, the man and my job. We don't engage in no dirty business here in Chicago!
Thank you. We help many people, especially the least among us to hang on to their hard-won residential and businesses properties. We don't cheat and we are not greedy. Your understanding is appreciated as I value your input in this forum and others.
I’ve worked for attorneys, some great, some batshit. Many of the good ones left their firms to work in the public interest. I can’t believe these capitulating firms thought they were going to be doing the kind of pro bono like the Innocence Project. More likely defending the cases where Trump and/or his administration are being sued for malfeasance.
Once again, Karma rears her seductive head and says, Come here, I need you to do something for me! And she’s been drunk driving while texting, with a kilo of cocaine in the trunk. And wants the law firm to get her out of jail on recognizance!!
This post has to be one of my favorites, but that’s a high bar. You rock 🎸.
I am humbled by this. Thank you!
And now that they are in his pocket, can the people/businesses in a lawsuit against him use those firms, or are they out?

Sorry, I know there are plenty of good attorneys, and I don’t lump them in with the partners of the firms who caved.

Can’t speak for anyone else, but I’m sure as fuck not going to be hiring lawyers who can’t even defend themselves. How are they going to defend me?
Would it hurt their reputations to defend sending innocent people to concentration camps in El Salvador?
Me thinks they are gonna find out

Given very recent events, I assume none of them went to Harvard.
