Debunking "Evolutionary Psychology" in style

A quirky talent from England who has a novel method for pouring beer, but does great deep analyses of the fuckery on the internet. Highly recommended!

About a year ago, I was watching one of my favorite Youtube channels that casts a critical eye to the bat-shittery that is Crypto — Crypto Critics Corner — and one of their guests was Munecat, who had just done a deep expose on Web 3 and all the fuckery that it was.

That inspired me to look up her page, and I was hooked. She is British, she did takedowns of MLM scams, a deep dive (multi-part) on Tony Robbins (eww, what a fucking creep), and many others. I bounced over to Patreon and tossed bucks (ok, UK Pounds) her way to support her efforts.

She is a music producer, a skilled researcher, and someone who goes down the rabbit hole to really suss out the deepest secrets. Her research is impeccable, and she brings a talent for production and entertainment to her pieces.

Her latest is a magnum opus of almost three and a half hours debunking the pseudoscience that is Evolutionary Psychology. If you haven’t heard much about this topic, it is this network of scam artists who use cherry picked small sample size studies to explain why men are superior to women, and this has led to a cult following amongst the Incel and MGTOW worlds. It is super creepy, and if you’ve ever heard claims of how “hormonal birth control” makes women “gay” and how when women are most fertile, they seek manly-men and symmetry, and the aroma of high T in males, then you have gotten a whiff of this bullshit.

Anyway, her posts are A+ examples of deep research, uncovering bullshit, with great production values, and she even intersperses it with witty musical numbers she writes to support the effort.

Below is her latest, a three hour, twenty-one minute video that just keeps you hooked. Do yourself a favor, fire this up and give it 20 minutes, and tell me if you aren’t hooked, and listen to the rest¹.
