Clean up on aisle 9...

Alas, the porn spammers are active. If you commented, you likely had a visit by "Emma Horsedick". Banned, baned, and all comments removed before reporting (not that I expect the SS leadership to do shit about it).

Sorry for any inconvenience.

The other lesson here, and I’ve also given many 3rd party depositions - when you’re the worker, not the boss, NEVER answer the phone or agree to a meeting. Always insist you’re too busy and “just send me an email with your ideas.” NEVER call them - send them an email with your concerns - and copy everyone involved.

Corner those MF at every turn into documenting their malfeasance. It will rarely cause them great harm, but it will generally keep them from pinning it on your ass.

Oh yeah, and if you are ever advised to include in the subject of an email the phrase: "Done with the advice and consent of legal counsel" you know that hinky shit is happening (and you should look for an exit)

"Me thinks Zuckerberg shoulda stayed at Harvard long enough to take a business ethics course (and some philosophy to boot)."

This wouldn't have changed anything. Because the thing about tech bros, they think they invented being smart and have exclusive access to it. They think everyone else is at worst an idiot, at best a parrot with a pencil in its beak, making marks it learned by rote. It is not possible in their cosmology that they could ever be bested, no matter what they do, how little they know about what they are doing, or how explicitly they are warned in advance. Not everyone in tech, thank goodness, is this kind of person (regardless of sex). But there is no stopping (or talking to, or God help you dating) the ones who are.

Sadly, you are right. But they would have less excuses if they had a more rounded education.

There must be a point before they become like that. Maybe they could somehow be turned aside.

I loved every word of this...thanks for the summary. I havent missed Facebook in the least. I still hang onto Insta for photography. It delights me no end to see Zuck, that arrogant little prick, get what's coming to him. What smarts he had has been replaced by the stupids.

Wow. Couldn’t happen to a more honest, nicer guy. (Having been not just a product manager, but a product manager in the electronic (legal) discovery industry, I know exactly what not to say and how not to say. Zuck appears to be my opposite in this regard.)

Zuckerberg is so used to thinking of himself as "The Smartest Guy in the Room" that he seriously believes nobody can tell him anything he can't already outsmart his way out of. In that area, at least, Aaron Sorkin's version of him was spot-on—a conceited TechBro who thought everybody not him was wasting his time because he'd already thought several steps ahead of them.

He another rich guy who thinks he's playing Twelfth-Dimensional Chess when he's really playing Tic-Tac-Toe...against people who may not be Chess Masters, but are as least as smart as those people who play Chess for money in Washington Square Park.

I’m sure Trump would gladly intervene for a small price. If Zuckerberg still has a soul it’s not worth much.

It’s almost like there’s a downside to having people constantly telling you how brilliant you are.

Some potentially good news, for us at least—Trump refused to help Zuckerberg settle the Meta antitrust case for a measly $450M settlement (under one-sixtieth of what the FTC was asking for!), and Trump didn't lift a finger even after Zuck helped pay for his Inauguration and stopped fact-checking Right Wingers:
