Just in: LinkedIn is the new hottest dating site...
Newsflash: DMs as a feature does not mean it is a dating app.
My dudes, we need to have a chat. Look, I know that Susie in Accounting is attractive, and you want to get to know her better, but, seriously, stop and think about it.
Then I read headlines like this:
(from Business Insider)
Please, just stop. Look, I don’t care much for LinkedIn, especially since it was purchased by Microsoft. The barrage of notifications, the whac-a-mole of how to turn off all the email spam they fucking send, and the desire to become the Facebook of corporate America.
Seriously, do not “slide” into her DM’s, and try to wrangle a date or meeting with some slinky slip of a thing. Really creepy, and cringe.
Just don’t do it.
And, in a moment of self-reflection on a lifetime spent adjacent to marketing, here is Bill Hicks on Marketing:
Whatever you do, do not use LinkedIn for dating.
Your PSA of the day.
😂😂😂 I am not a fan nor use LinkedIn but your accurate description of their spam emails make it sound like Tom from MySpace is behind the site!
Shout it loud from the rafters--so annoying. One dude on LI even tried to hook me up with a threesome (him and his wife.) Tried to entice me by saying they would, and I quote, "Dress me up."
EeeewwwEEeweewee! *walks in a circle shaking it off*
