LOL, I so know that feeling of horror when stumbling into the right wing antechamber. Substack keeps putting these people across my feed. Lord have mercy.

This was my first foray into the right wing posters on Substack. Eye opening! Had no idea these people were on Substack. Seems like they put out the same dribble that I see in the headlines about politicians in red states but more radical and outrageous. It’s scary to see how much they really believe the shit they write about. I guess I’m naive, but bad mouthing Mary Trump, Dan rather, Robert reich? All they seem to have are conspiracies and not much else. I’ll stick with the progressive wokeness, thanks. At least that makes sense.

Also, all need to see about emerald Robinson is that she worked for OAN/ newsmax type organizations and that’s all I need to know about her.

You had me until you called Bari Weiss a shitbird and Mehdi Hasan a hero. So, the centrist Jewish lesbian Biden supporter is awful but the antisemitic terror apologist Is a good guy? I think you got these backward.

“I swear these people find the boogey man in every falling leaf, never realizing that maybe, just maybe their schtick is a niche and that you hit a ceiling, or that you finally went too far and people are just not that into you...”

Yep.

People don’t wanna pay for my tinfoil hat sewing pattern. Obviously it’s a conspiracy.

I just read most of Emerald Robinson’s Substack post entitled, “What is Luciferase?”

I was curious because I used this wondrous and harmless enzyme Luciferase, derived from fireflies, in the laboratory in the 1970s. Luciferase can be used to tag microscopic and submicroscopic objects to allow one to follow the location of these objects in the course of scientific research. This enzyme cannot by itself create light. But it can catalyze the creation of light if it is furnished with its two substrates, Luciferin and ATP. Because there is no Luciferin the human body, even if there were any residual Luciferase in vaccines, it could not create light in the absence of Luciferin.

My feeling is that either Emerald Robinson, herself is mentally deranged paranoid schizophrenic, or she’s just maliciously throwing around technical buzzwords that she’s tripped over, but that she clearly does not understand. The comments following her post on Luciferase demonstrate that she was successful in her goal of frightening people. Her goal may be to foment hysterical fear amongst clinically paranoid conspiracy theory followers. What a malicious person she is.

“Look, I have my problems with Substack. The fact that they are fine with antisemites and white nationalist/NAZIs monetizing and splitting those C-notes with the company, how some truly fucking awful people have been able to build newsletters that generate millions of dollars in profit every year. How it really is a social media network regardless of how many times the founders say they are just neutral publishers.”

I’m getting closer and closer to dumping Substack and saying to myself, “who needs my writing?” (I have only about 30 subscribers, anyway, because I’m only about 3-4 months into posting.)

I’ve long refused Faecebook, Xitter [sh], JumpCut (TikTok), Photogram, and the like. In the six months I’ve followed on Substack, it’s steadily devolved more and more into an example of everything that’s wrong with ‘social’ media.

As of today, I’m trashing the Substack App. While I remain, I’ll read in email and on a browser. (“Browsers: Reading and Looking At Stuff On the Internet… It’s What They’re For!”)

My initial reaction was that you must have really a lot of flotsam and jetsam and cherry picked this one. Because I’m in the denial phase. JFC on a pogo stick.

Matt taibbi is one of the best grifters (skill-wise) in the industry. His ability to post flagrantly incorrect pigshit and ignore any sort of criticism is one of the greatest feats of mental discipline I've ever seen. He uses a vocabulary that sounds esteemed to dumbasses who worship his "determination to speak the truth!" Its so fascinating. Last I checked he has me blocked, because the "truth" needs a safe little space to exist unopposed.

Thank you for writing this. I know supposedly "intelligent people" who spout this nonsense and get all butthurt when I routinely dismiss their unprovable claims by asking for... evidence.

There is always an excuse for why such evidence is unavailable and then the segue into lack of evidence being proof of perfidy.

You see Terrance Howard on Joe Rogan? Another pair of grifting idiots.

No, I pretty much ignore Rogan, and I cancelled my Spotify sub when they lost their mind and paid him $210M for exclusivity to their platform.

Thanks for the comment!
