Saw this in WaPo this morning... it's unfathomable how sick Trump is...and even more so to know people think this is ok. 🙄

The fact that the Evangelical crowd cheered this on is really indicative of the sickness in Christianity in the era of Trump.

Don't get me wrong, they have **always** been disappointing hypocrites, but they used to at least hide the hypocrisy, now they just fly their freak flag proudly.

Trump believes to his core that others are inferior to him, and has been able to touch all those who share his belief. He is sincere in his awfulness.

For him, religion is a tool to sow division and justify cruelty; like John Chivington before him, he uses loosely understood Christian principles to promote violence. But Latin America is largely Christian, so he's a little less successful now than he was with his Muslim travel bans.

I was raised in a religion that doesn't award points for accumulating souls, so I really don't understand how to see others as less human. Or maybe I was just lucky with my parents. Either way, I hope we can get it together before election day and save ourselves.

The only person I want to see get their ass kicked is Trump at the voting booth.

My husband Tito, a Boriqueno from PR, although not a ‘migrant’ since Puerto Rico is a US territory—would’ve knocked orange white boy into the middle of next week! He was a VietVet 1968-1970. Sadly, my husband passed away in 1993. But, I know he is looking from the afterlife life and just might instigate some Espiritismo in concert with Boriqua Brujaria! Go for it, Papito! ❤️👋🏼👏🏼🕊️👍🏼🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🇵🇷

I skimmed it, they seem ... nutty? Wacko?

Effective Altruism, yeah, that is why Sam Bank-run-Fraud stole about $8B USD to "better society" as one of its tenets.

And the genetic screening of embryos is just fucking creepy shit.

Nobody should look up to Elon Musk. He is human garbage par extraordinaire.

Oh, these are the people that swatted their child loud enough to be caught by the recorder in a restaurant. They are human scum. The whole story of how jungle cats maintain their brood's behavior. Uh, people are just a wee bit more complex than predatory cats.

There are two things I don't discuss online. Spanking/corporal punishment of children leads to people coming out of the woodwork exclaiming how they were beaten as children and they turned out.

Alas, I can never seem to tell them that they are not fine if they think that beating their children is a good way to discipline them. Instead, they are teaching the next generation that it is OK to resolve conflicts with violence, and another generation is corrupted.

Susan, thanks for the link. I just finished reading it. I do think white nationalists fear the world will outnumber them in countries without birth control. This couple is white, but they know that large families can promote a certain kind of world view. Republicans (often Catholic) believe more is better. Atheists I thought were different, but this couple is wedded to Elon Musk as a role model? I found the article alarming because it appeared the parents were baby factories.
