I am very familiar with the album version of the song. I (along with a few friends) was a disc jockey in a club. We never played the radio edit version. It was one of those songs that prompted all to up off their ass and pack the dance floor!

I burned out on this song as well, but the full version is kick-ass. I vaguely remember hearing it on one of the stations that played full albums on Sundays. KLOS, maybe? Uncle Joe Benson was the DJ.

I always thought "My Sharona" was a banging tune (pun intended), but listening to it through earbuds has given me a deeper appreciation of it. It's very well crafted, and you're right, the solo is great.

That brought back some memories...my old boss at the radio station where I worked loved The Knack. I vaguely remember some drinking and this song. 😂 Excellent!

My Sharona is my jam. My cousins were older and used to watch us on the weekends and they played that Knack album with ferocious frequency! I never had a chance to get burned out on the radio version as my parents were both classical music people and that’s what we listened to in the car and since I was about 7 when it came out, listening to the radio for personal enjoyment wasn’t high on the *things that are fun to do* list yet.

My Sharona is also the name of my gaming PC. 😁

Wedding, we had an after party in our backyard. My niece got up on my parent’s picnic table and danced her heart out to this song. It is a treasured memory!
