I LOVE that legendary Blues Man and what a powerful guitar and wonderful voice.
Who would have KNOWN that an Irishman would have been so afflicted with the Blues . . . GOD, I have listed to him for HOURS.
In one song, Gary Moore was very hard on rockers who tried to be Led Zeppelin clones.
We lost Gary Moore -- as we did Stevie Ray Vaughan -- WAY TOO YOUNG.
Man -- THANK YOU for this tribute that communicates to us who are kindred spirits.
Pamela (Pamela's side of the Story) mentions Muddy Waters. No one, but NO ONE (NOT Eric Clapton) could give the POWER of "Mannish-Boy" BUT Muddy Waters and ONLY Muddy Waters. That and the Hootchie-Cootchie Man.
Damn, with great company like that, the soul SINGS with powerful blues.
My deceased partner introduced me to Gary Moore...I was blown away. Incredible talent...I had to look him up...died of a heart attack in his sleep at only 58. What a loss. As always, thanks for the music... fantastic.
A few years ago, I, quite by accident, found a cassette of “Still Got The Blues”, which I wore out completely. Amazing blues man and artist. Thanks for the profile.
Geoff Anderson: YOU are a kindred spirit.
FINALLY: Someone who writes about Gary Moore.

Wow that must have been powerful- 2 of my several favorites. Muddy Waters is one as well. Buddy Guy is at or near the top of the list!
Geoff, I am really appreciative of all the musicians you’re profiling! Give me more blues and blues rock, then I’ll be a really happy man!
Personally, I never had the chance to see Gary play live which is sad given that I have Irish roots!
I have had the pleasure of seeing two masters play live…at the same show! Buddy Guy and BB King!
Amazing player- any player who talks to others with their passion and knowledge is a Master.
Taj Farranf started playing because he heard Gary Moore. Taj was a pro between 6-7. This kid may surpass his idol very soon….at I believe 14 or 15!
Excellent. Enough said
Thanks Geoff, that was a nice piece of music to wake up to.

Well, he was Irish, and the stories of his drinking were legendary, so it is not surprising that he passed young.

Amazing song which I’ve been told is hard to play- one of my favorite songs ever.
