Good stuff. It's heartbreaking to spend that kind of money on space ships to bolster your shitty ego. I too, enjoyed Twitter in the beginning, and as someone in advertising and social media, I struggled to find it a place for any brands other than maybe energy drinks and cars. I dropped it after he bought it. It gave me a headache and was upsetting. I dont need more of that in my life! 👍
I don’t recall who but there were calls from a few members of Congress for an investigation of Space-X. To determine contract violations etc. I don’t recall the specifics and, like so many other newsworthy events, the story was overtaken by Trump this or GOP that. Love your spot on assessment of Twitter, and its constituency of neo-Nazi snowflakes 😂.
Alas the US Government is so far up his ass and dependent on him for payload launches, and supplying the ISS that he can get away with anything. It is a fucking shame
I agree. If Elon was removed from the equation, that would be a start towards tangible progress in space exploration and his stupid light pollution really is obnoxious lol
Also, each "Starship" (stupid name) launch costs north of $1B USD, mostly funded by the US Government. And he is about 2.5 or 3 years late in hitting critical milestones.
I suspect SpaceX is counting on "sunk costs" to keep the government tossing shit-tons of Ben Franklins to them to continue. Alas, it seems that Blue Origin is quietly advancing their efforts with a lot less fanfare, and actually meeting their targets and milestones.
I would dance in the street if Blue Origin beats SpaceX to the punch. (I am not a fan of Bezos, but at least he isn't a flamboyant in-your-face asshole)
Oh, and my prediction is that in 10 years, Tesla will be mainly an EV charging network that might sell some cars.
It is clear that the legacy makers are catching up fast (and in some cases surpassing) Tesla. Hell Mercedes Benz is the only SAE level 3 qualified driving assists, no matter how much hype Musk does about his FSD.
Hell, he is now demanding that Tesla dealers enable it and give a demonstration to people picking up their cars in an effort to get more people to spend $18K for this half-baked feature. A LOT of their initial profitability was driven by multitudes of gullible Tesla buyers paying for this abysmal option that is never going to work with the hardware (using cameras instead of LIDAR and other sensors is the stupidest fucking thing I have ever heard)
If you go to YT and search for Common Sense Skeptics, a few weeks back they did a deep analytical read through his "wealth" and like Trump, it seems that there is less "there" there than everyone thinks.
He is a fuck up! Like everything the Orange Twittler touches Dies, everything Musk imagines turns to dust….
These two are pathetically on the planet at the same time. Did they both buy a lot of stock in Adderall? They both make my skin crawl…

Drag away! I will be here for every morsel of it.

Tim Miller interviewed Don Lemon for the Bulwark daily pod (which he took over when Charlie left) and it’s pretty good. Tim also hates him some Elon.
I watched that one, and it was good.
Plenty to hate about Elon.
I say we strap him to a falcon heavy, and send him to colonize Mars by himself
I’ve been collecting Elon stories forever. Fucking Covid broke these fuckefs.
This is fun. https://www.madisontrust.com/information-center/visualizations/everything-elon-musk-owns/
I personally think Musk is a husk. Quite the boy who wants s to fit in but since he’s a husk, he’s a bust!
