I hiked down Bright Angel, camped for a couple days, and hiked out South Kaibab. This was in my 30’s, the nineties. I had in the past hiked down the Bright Angel to the lookout and back up Bright Angel but had no idea how BEASTLY the South Kaibab trail is when coming up it from the bottom…in JUNE. Without caffeine. Ouchie.
We hiked down the South Kaibab and back up the Bright Angel. On the way out, you could tell you were getting close to the rim when people you passed smelled "fresh" (deodorant, aftershave or other aromas) and you knew you were getting to the end.
Hi there sweaty spice guy, once again, our equinoxes align, as I 2 am exploring photography again after a two-decade decline in the art form. But now is the time to come alive, as photos made by dead things proliferate. "To be, or not to Photoshop" must be the rallying cry from human photographers, as they procreate the art of the photo for generations to come. ha.
Holy Shit! Look at you! Tortilla Flats? I was there-on the back of a Harley. Gorgeous! Dear friends still live in Tucson at the base of the Catalinas. Grand Canyon, too...spectacular. These are wonderful shots. You're far more advanced than I am...Photoshop gives me a headache so I fumble around in Lightroom. Thanks so much for the mention, too! I'm glad I could inspire you to share your talent. Post some more! 👍👍👍
Nice job Geoff!
PS, the photos are amazing. I live in AZ, so I know the spots.

It is definitely worth it!

Yeah, I was driving my Honda S2000 (their convertible sports car) and it was a fun drive. Drove that many many times!
