Been wondering about the HB stuff. Would love a Johnny Ramone-style fake Mosrite now that the real thing is a ridiculously overpriced collectible, or one of their fake Rickenbacker basses or 12-strings.
I can just say that the three I have, the Fusion T, the Amarok (I bought a B-stock, I couldn't find any flaws), and now the Modern ST Plus, and all three of them have been amazing. Perfect set up out of the box (the Amaro was a bit high action, but some turns of a 1mm hex wrench on the bridge fixed that).
Stainless steel frets, good electronics (on the Fusion T), to great (EMG actives on the Amarok, and their high output Tesla P'ups on the Modern ST Plus).
Fit and finish have been exceptional for $300-$400 guitars.
They have much less expensive guitars that are solid starting points to make them as you wish (the single cutaways with the set necks, the Tele's and Strats, the SG clones) as well as some carved top rips of PRS that are rated well and cheap as hell.
Man, what a time to be alive. When I started learning over 40 years ago, the budget guitars were trash, mostly made of plywood
Looks like you’re having the same issue with comments getting cut off I’ve been experiencing. Not sure what the problem is. Just lops off the last line or two. Weird.
Thats a nice looking guitar! I just acquired a used Peavey (am told by a multi instrumentalist I know that it’s a good name) and a Marshall Mini amp. I need to get a few things before I start playing it though. A cord to plug into the amp or wireless hookup, a strap, a tuner and possibly a set of strings.
That’s a great-looking axe! I’ve always been partial to sea-foam green strat-style guitars, but I’ve only ever owned one, a long-gone ESP from the 90s. I hope it brings you joy and hours of happy playing.

Substack's been pushing updates to their platform that are breaking things regularly

Peavey guitars are darned fine instruments. Not a well known name outside of amps, but they are well build and quality fit/finish
That’s almost exactly what my buddy told me! Thanks for agreeing with him!
The real fun begins when I start re-learning the basics … it’s been nearly 50 years since I last played!
Congrats!
I think my son has this one, I love the color! I have a daisy bass :

It’s beautiful. A work of art!
Beautiful guitar, enjoy!
