Someone actually BELIEVES that Drumpf is "qualified, trustworthy, strong, and cares about the American people"??? And they let him run around loose? IS2G.

Gosh, I hate to go there, but as long as Rich thinks that "His nicknaming may be a schoolyard tactic, yet it has often been effective tool", how about we go with Rich "The Bitch" Lowry?

I am so f-ing sick of Lowry's idiotic self-important pontificating and blatant mental masturbation. Rich's worst attribute is to serve as a reminder that even when The Orange Menace departs this vale of tears, we'll still have all the schmendricks who propped him up or enabled him or just sat back and let it happen.

Kamala could kick his ass in any arena. She's much smarter, more eloquent, and most importantly is a caring person who seeks to help the helpless, to help all Americans . The contrast couldn't be more clear.

I don’t care how you spin character, shitzinpants comes up short on EVERY measure of β€œcharacter”. Whether it’s personal or fitness for the presidency he is sorely lacking to put it mildly. All you have to do is look at his record. Every β€œachievement” is paired with a negative result that manifested itself. And I don’t see how you can excuse in any way his despicable personality characteristics that would plunge America into a dark age if he was put back in the WH.

I wonder when Lowry got his membership card for the MAGA cult punched?

Lowry’s column would probably play better on Daily Wire or some other RWNJ site. However, it’s obvious that the NYT is free-falling into that realm of lunacy. I see more subscription cancellations in their future with crap like this.

Donald Trump is a weak and dishonest person's idea of someone trustworthy and strong.

Unfortunately I read it too, so disgusted with the NYT! It’s not even a β€œstretch” to try to label Kamala as weak, it’s pure fantasy. Good luck with that. I only hope the counter punch πŸ₯Š knocks him down VERY PUBLICLY!!!

Glad you read this stuff so I dont have to... I laugh when idiots like this say Harris is "untested" ... oh honey, with her credentials? She wont make everyone happy, especially angry old white guys, but she's going to be just fine.

I read it 🀒. Lowry’s tone throughout is as though he was George Will speaking with William Buckley’s mouth; snide, smug, supercilious and dismissive, almost as if the whole thing were entirely above him and readers were lucky he deigned to make the effort.

No matter how many times Lindsey Graham is allowed a platform to plead that Trump be a normal candidate or Rich Lowry be allowed one, Trump is not going to normalize because his brain is turning to mush. Did Rich say that anywhere?

Graham is elected so that, I suppose, gives him a voice. I’ll never understand though how someone like Lowry or seemingly an endless array of others are given voice.

These fascist friendly assholes have a choice of two actions. If defenestrate is the word for what was done to President Biden then they need to defenestrate Trump. Or they can defenestrate themselves. Literally would be fine with me.

I hate wishing my life away, but it’ll be a relief one way or the other 10 weeks and a day from now. I so can’t wait to see how the GOP and the rightwing pundits address their little Trump problem if he’s doing Stolen Election Part Deux. Are they going to go along or finally put on the bigboy pants and ditch him? Otherwise it’s Trump 2028.

C'mon Kevin, you know they already have ordered their "Trump 2028" yard signs...

Can’t help thinking there’s a huge bit of envy by these folks on the right that the Dems managed to solve their old dude problem.

Be fair.

Our problem was perception, not character.

Their problem is the opposite -- the cult perceives Mango baby as normal.

And he's never had character.

"Not character in the sense of a candidate’s personal life, but the attributes that play into the question of whether someone is suited to the presidency β€” is he or she qualified, trustworthy and strong, and does he or she care about average Americans?"

So not character the way we have always defined character but some Newspeak definition?

Got it.

Because not even Lowry can pretend Mango baby has the "character" to be hired by a 7-11.

As for "caring about average Americans," Trump proved that when he screwed up Covid.
