I'll never understand how anyone could just "not vote". It's a privilege to be able to vote and by not voting, these people may have lost the right for ALL of us.
I was never going to shriek “rigged” like MAGA does because there simply wasn’t any evidence. What you and Cat said is logical. Election fuckery in the form of voter suppression? Sure, we’ve all seen that with our own eyeballs. Purity ponies refusing to vote or voting third party? Absolutely, we’ve all read that with our own eyeballs.
During the 2020 primaries, I voted after work though I usually did so before I went. I heard the election has been called for Biden on the radio before I even got to the polls. Did I go home? Nope, I went and pulled the lever for Elizabeth Warren, which had been my choice anyway. I’ve never sat out an election. If you didn’t vote, I don’t want to hear/read any bitching and complaining.
This is largely the Dem's being Dems and reverting to type.
Whereas the R's are far more coherent and disciplined. Look at how little traction the Never Trump Republicans have been able to gain. It is like tilting at windmills, and while it helps them sleep at night, it really had almost no net effect.
Trump got more votes this time than in his two prior elections. And the strategy (by the Never Trump cohort) that Democrats had to be perfect every election was just bad on its face, because as a life-long Democrat, I know what the history is.
One of the benefits of having a degree in physics is that we learn quickly when to cut off the higher order effects that really don't affect the outcome.

FUCK. Everything.
Hell, if we were so damn good at rigging the 2020 election, what happened to our mojo this time?
No kidding!

With you there. Only voting gives you bitching privileges.
Spot on.

“Perfect is the enemy of good” (attributed to Voltaire). Also saw this: Progress might make a bigger difference than perfection.
Indeed.

We know when to stop.
