Not to worry. I’m a Jeff Tiedrich subscriber so that should tell you all you need to know about me and swear words. I love music as well. If you happen to post something that’s not in my particular wheelhouse, I know where the trash can is. Glad you hit my inbox.
Hey Geoff! It's great to know several things about you, to wit: you're a rocker! That's awesome! I'm 64 and crazy about metal, which I rediscovered when I heard Tool for the first time at my daughter's friend's house more than 30 years ago. I was instantly in love (it was Lateralus).
Weirdly, I loved metal when I heard Black Sabbath as a kid, but I worked for several years at a music store in Alaska in the late 70s/early 80s, and listened to mostly classical and the then-new trends of jazz and jazz-rock fusion. Rediscovering ass-kicking rock has been great fun, and discovering world metal is absolutely amazing! Anything very unusual is always going to intrigue me, especially if the musicians are technically excellent and the time signatures are complex. It's great to read someone well versed in music and enthusiastic 🥰.
As for the swearing, I'd always rather read someone who feels free to cuss up a storm when the moment calls for it, and fuck anyone who's too fragile to handle it! They can buy a sense of humor 🤣🤣🤭 (I love Jeff Tiedrich, so you can imagine).
I came to Substack mostly for the political commentary, but your column is always fun, and I love that you love music.
To sum up, to Hell with the haters, have some fucking FUN!
Geoff, thanks for sharing all the great music you find; and especially for focusing on talented women musicians! I’ve enjoyed listening to all your posts and look forward to more! Can’t let a day go by without listening to some great 🎶
Team America World Police! I am….verklempt. Music is everything I love and gets me in trouble more often than not! I’m terminally incapable of being less of a smartass and more of a grown up and still try to go to shows …disguised as an old lady. Because I’m old.
I am thrilled to find you ! Politics, music, sweary commentary ; my cup runneth over . .

As always, ❤️ you, sweaty spicey friend!

I'm old too 😁! I try to get as much live music as possible . Here in Portland (ore), the venues are endless...
Also enjoy your posts, music or politics. Respect.
Music helps make life worth living.
Definitely!
Life without music is hardly living.
“Sweary” hahaha! Though you’re not up to Tiedrich’s level…. yet. 😉 Hey, congrats on the numbers. I love the music education I receive here. Thanks!
He has a lot more practice.
(and me thinks this is his livelihood)
'Merica, fuck yeah!
