Wow, that Blew Up...

My best day here, ever?

The Castle Bravo H-Test, where the physicists got the reaction wrong and yield was far higher (2X) than predicted

Yesterday afternoon I was watching lousy 50’s vintage SciFi¹ on the couch, and I scrolled to the NY Times app on my phone. I saw a headline for an Ezra Klein OpEd where he grudgingly admitted that the Biden SOTU was “better than anticipated” and that if that Biden was the new norm, then perhaps he can stay on the ballot.

As I was getting ready for bed, I just dashed off a post showing how fucking insane he was², sharing my disgust with the Times for its tiptoeing around this³, and I sent it off to the ether and retired to my sleep deprived⁴ self to bed.

Woke up at my usual time (that is about 4 AM) and after firing up the coffee maker, I sat down to glance at the morning news, and holee sheeit, that post blew up. At the moment it has 397 views⁵, far more than ANYTHING I have ever posted. Tons of comments, likes, and a whopping 9 new subscribers⁶.

And that was after about 8 hours, overnight.

I don’t know if it is the topic, the salty title, or the (awesome) audience who helped get the visibility to launch.

Regardless, I am a wee bit giddy this AM.

For all who have read and participated in this, I greatly appreciate your reading anything I write. You have all humbled me today. And, I can’t wait to write again!

1. Yeah, I have a strange kink, and I love all the cheesy SciFi

2. Ezra used to be a deep left progressive, and as we have seen, the far left and the far right are far closer to each other than they are to the center. I think I need to take a note to explore this later.

3. To the Right of Center people who claim that the mainstream media are in the tank for the Democrats you can rightly fuck off. Both the Times and the Post both bend over backwards to be inclusive of your shitty views, they are welfare for some of the worst fucking Opinion writers (Douthat, French, Stevens, Geraghy, Olsen, and Thiessen - among many others)

N.B. I would be less harsh on David French if he was a wee bit less full throated about his evangelical views.

4. Frankly, along with the NY Times, the advent of Daylight Savings Time can also fuck right off.

5. Prior to this I have had a couple of posts get into triple digits of views, so this is YUGE for me.

6. I really need to write about my experience in growing my audience.
