Very nice, thanks for posting Geoff! I’ve been a Jeff Beck fan since the 60’s from Yardbirds to The Jeff Beck Group to seeing him live in Atlanta in 1999 ( or 2000). Aside from Jimi Hendrix there has never been anything like him.
Agreed. He didn't garner as much fame and success as Page did, but without a doubt, he was the best of the players that came out of the Yardbirds, hands down.
Paige was best I think in the studio as he kinda got too sloppy (for my taste) when live. Clapton’s great years (for me)were Layla and what came before. He became a cranky old man with anti-vax and xenophobic sentiments which for some reason bothered me more than it should.
