Just read the top 250 guitarists of all time by Rolling Stond- all types of music - almost as many females as males - bravo Rolling Stone!

Exactly. It's depressing watching someone showing genuinely real talent and proud of it, only to see nothing but the worst of the bros commenting and being utterly deplorable.

There used to be a conduct called "Being a gentleman" in social situations. There was etiquette involved in interactions. Social media has just given the worst an excuse to blow right through that and cater to their own ids.

You won’t be sorry - there is a huge section on YouTube for them - a couple of song with Robby Robertson before he died, Cat Stevens, Keith Richards have been in a few, Taj Mahal, Keb Mo, Lucas Nelson, Ringo, Buddy Guy (One of my favorite Blues guy,)

There are a few from Mark’s Park in Hawaii that are theirs too. They have several by John Cruz a Hawaiian songwriter & singer, just SO many and I just could not get enough of those songs!

Thank You! I have been watching a few of my favs lately too!

Bonnie Raitt , Tedechi Trucks - and man can she sing and play - they have both been around & probably kick ass if necessary.

A new one for me is JoAnn Taylor Shaw. The reason I even noticed her was when I happened to hear those first few notes of Janis Joplin’s version of Summertime. She is amazing! For me to say I like this version and she is as good as Janis? She is great. She was with one of my favorite guitarists Joe Bonamassa. Blew my mind!!.

My 16 year old grand son plays and his favorite player is Stevie Ray…. He has been playing for many years which is a lot at 16!! He is so good, plays drums and some piano as well.

I realize these ladies are not as young as the ones you mentioned but of course women can play any instrument and those on guitar are amazing!!

I loved this article a lot!!

She is excellent!! Have you watched any of the Playing for Change - videos on YouTube? There are quite a lot of them - but there are several great female singers and players. Right now the names have left my brain. One of the videos has Buddy Guy & a young lady doing a song together.

There are so many different Playing for Change with a lot of different players.

I watched one weekend for hours. People from around the world doing a song - so many great ones.

The girl I have seen playing with Keith Richards and a few others.

But def check out playing for Change if you haven’t!!
