"Cry me a fucking river, build a bridge, and get over it. You, and your ilk have been trying to exert your will on the wider population for FUCXKING DECADES, and I am going to revel in all the schadenfreude that you are righteously deserving."

LOVE IT!!

Sick of these jerks trying to tell ppl what to do then crying over the blow back. They were rode wet and hard. Awesome sauce. May he cry enough tears to cover the earth.

I’m just gobsmacked. “Pro life” is meaningless without universal sick leave, universal health care free at the point of service, universal paid parental leave, pro union policies, high minimum wage guarantees, universal paid vacations, monthly child benefits per child, without regard to the working status of the child’s parents and/or guardians, who indeed may be choosing to stay home with that child, universal free or heavily subsidized childcare, universal free meals at schools…

These are the sorts of things that help people to choose become parents, not abortion bans and fuck all nothing in societal supports. Geez.

I honestly consider Democrats who have been working to get these policies in place and succeeding to whatever level the true “pro life” party if we have to use that label, because that is what human dignity and supports really looks like, not the ongoing dystopia of physically and socially suffering pregnant people.

A technical tour de force. Indeed, their position smacks of the moniker of "forced birth", and while some of the "pro life" cohort does pay lip service to the need for support post birth, the fact that they have tied their wagon to the business focused Republicans who are far more interested in lowering taxes and gutting our insufficient safety net, while spouting shit about "bootstrapping" and thinly veiled implications that the "other" (primarily brown and black people) are to blame for all of societies ills.

Look, I am glad to pay my taxes, and I would be glad to pay more to help provide more of a backstop for the lower rungs.

Thanks for your comment!

Yeah, the increases proposed for the child tax credit this congressional session that were modestly better than the current status quo, but still with imposed work requirements, while being hand in hand with a tax cut for whatever it was, really frosted my cookies.

I’m so sick of tax cuts for corporations and a studied refusal to support children and parental choices to stay home with their kids if they wish with their continued obsession on work requirements. What of Disabled parents? Grandparents who are retired? A family where one parent stays home? Other countries give work credits that count for retirement benefits for staying out of the workforce and parenting children at home. Republicans definitely don’t have that in mind. Pro life indeed. Grr.

For all their tough talk about "snow flakes" and "libtards" they sure seem to not be able to take a punch.

You hate to see it. (no, not really)

IKR, cry so hard about cancel culture then rush to cancel everything--including a pop singer who dares not vote for them. Sickos.
