Too young to have seen him live, but not too young to have enjoyed his music from when his first singles dropped. I went to the Jimi Hendrix museum in Seattle when it first opened. I understand it’s now the Museum of Pop Culture with a Hendrix exhibit.

I know so little about Jimi other than I respect his place in musical history, so I really appreciate your sharing this. When I was younger I didnt appreciate this until later in life. What an incredible talent...and what the hell was wrong with me, anyway? 😂😂

Hurrah!! Thank you!! No mistaking Jimi on guitar, that sound.... A friend and I rented an apartment in an old Victorian in the Haight, summer of '67. Little did we realize....! One day we were walking across the Panhandle of Golden Gate Park, and there he was, with a couple of band mates, playing outside. An impromptu mini concert, there were maybe half a dozen people, swaying and dancing. What a treat for us! I saw him in SF a few times, every time a musical epiphany. 🎶

I’m one of the lucky ones who saw him perform. It was an incredible experience.
